How to Apply
Requirements
The DESA month-long residency program invites both individual and collaborative proposals from international applicants. The residency was founded on the principles of making and cultivating conversations and connections between researchers, practitioners and community with purpose. If your research is experimental, creative and curious we encourage you to apply.
DESA sees the significance for practitioners to have the time and opportunity to research and make. The artist-in-residency program is free of conclusive outcomes; however, we require a proposal outlining what you plan to do, research or make during the month-long period. We encourage proposals that focus on generating research, experimentation, and engagement, specifically relevant to your practice and a meaningful connection with the Southeast Asia Region of Bali, Indonesia.
The DESA facilities consist of two self-contained residences with private studios. We welcome applicants with families to apply.
